No es una novedad que muchos profesores están utilizando las tabletas en el aula. Aunque puede ser un poco difícil (en mi caso, a veces no tengo conexión a Internet), también es muy gratificante. Yo tengo un iPad y esa es la tablet que uso.
It's nothing new that many teachers are already using Tablets in the classroom. Although it can be a bit difficult (in my case, sometimes I don't have Internet sign), it can be very rewarding. I have an Ipad and that's what I use.
Hoy voy a hablar de una aplicación que, supuestamente, es para Primaria, pero que he encontrado muy útil para usar en Secundaria. Para empezar, puede motivar a aquellos alumnos que "odian la flauta" (en sus palabras), porque tienen que utilizarla para jugar un videojuego y eso les encanta. Today I'm going to talk about one app who's said to be used in Primary School, but I have found it very useful in Secondary School. To begin with, it can motivate the students who "hate the recorder" (their words), because they have to use it to play a videogame and they love that. Besides, there are some other activities you can do with them. By clicking on the picture, you go to the itunes website.
Lo he usado en el "Taller de Creatividad Musical" de 4º para:
1.- Motivar a mis alumnos para que intenten tocar la flauta y vean que no es tan difícil.
2.- Algunos alumnos tienen que encontrar los acordes del piano para armonizar las notas que suenan en el juego, mientras sus compañeros están tocando.
3.- Otros alumnos tienen que encontrar la secuencia rítmica de los sonidos que hace la flauta en el juego.
4.- También aprenden el nombre anglosajón de las notas (A=la, B=si, C=do, etc)

I have used it in "Music creativity workshop" in 4th Degree to:
1.- Motivate my students to try to play the recorder, so they can find out it's not as hard as they think.
2.- Some students have to find the chords on the piano to harmonize the notes sounding in the game while their partners are playing.
3.- Other students have to find out the rhythm of the recorder sound.
4.- They learn the Anglosaxon name of the notes (A,B,C...)

Tengo que decir que, además, es muy divertido. De vez en cuando, se puede usar para enseñar a los alumnos a controlar su respiración y hacer que esta sea más prolongada y estable. Lo utilizo así para hacer ejercicios de respiración con 1º de Bachillerato y la técnica que aprendemos es muy útil para cantar :)
I have to say that it's really funny too. From time to time, you can use it to teach the students to control their breathe and make this longer and more steady. I use it to do exercises of breathing with 1st of Bachillerato and the technique that we learn it's very useful for singing. :)
