¡Hola a todos/as!
Como sabéis, cumplimos 2 añitos en el blog y sorteamos un pack de cositas, entre las que se encuentra el cuento infantil "Sofía, la vaca que amaba la música". Quienes me conocéis sabéis que es mi cuento musical favorito porque trata valores como el amor por la música, la identidad, la discriminación, la tolerancia, el esfuerzo y la actitud crítica ante las normas sociales.

As you know, it's our 2 years blog anniversary and we are giving away some things, including the children's book "Sofía, the cow who loved Music". Who know me know that it's my favorite Music storybook because it's about the love for Music, identity, discrimination, respect, effort and the critic attitude towards social standards.
Este cuento, además, presenta una serie de animales: jirafas, leones, cerditos... que nos puede servir para trabajar el centro de interés de los animales salvajes y de granja en inglés y español. También podemos hacer actividades de imitación de sonidos de animales, o juegos de identificación de sus hogares con tarjetas y dibujos.
This story also presents a series of animales: giraffes, lions, piggies... thus allows us to learn the vocabulary about the farm and wild animals in English and Spanish. Also, we can introduce imitation activities to learn about the sounds the animals do, or identification games with their houses by playing with flashcards or drawing.

Al mismo tiempo presenta muchos instrumentos musicales que, si bien no se mencionan explícitamente, salen representados y se asocian a distintas agrupaciones musicales. Se pueden trabajar las familias de instrumentos, instrumentos concretos o las agrupaciones musicales.
Al the same time, the story presents plenty of musical instruments represented and associated with the different musical groups. We could make activities about the instrument families, instruments alone or the musical groups.
Y, por último, pero no por ello menos importante, hace unos años hice este vídeo del cuento, con las preciosas ilustraciones del autor, Geoffroy de Pennart. Le puse música de Jamendo y grabé algunos sonidos de animales para que fuera más divertido. ¡Aquí lo tenéis!

There's only four days left for Halloween and I'm sure that your head is about to explode with monsters, witches and ghosts! Thus, to finish the Halloween children songs compilation, I want to share with you my latest Halloween music sheet for recorder.
Hoy comparto la partitura para "Spooky, spooky", una canción infantil de Halloween muy sencilla para trabajar el vocabulario. La partitura es un poco difícil porque tiene semicorcheas, tresillos y alguna síncopa además de un fa sostenido. No obstante, por imitación no debería ser demasiado complicada de montar. Aquí os dejo un Wix de la partitura:
Today I want to share the "Spooky, spooky" music sheet, a very easy Halloween song for children to learn the key words. The music sheet is a little difficult because of the semiquavers, the triplets, the syncopation and the F#. Nevertheless, if you teach it by imitation it shouldn't be that hard. Here I've prepared a Wix with the Music Sheet:
