This last week, we have been talking about women in music. Through the History of Music, they have been silenced in many occasions and that's why my students had to look for remarkable women in Music and talk about them. There were quite a few!! As we were working with the making of video trivs (I wish I could post all the great works they have done), I decided to create one about women and I encourage you to give it a try. How many are you able to guess? ;) Here you have the link: Mujeres en la música (parte 1)

Another curious thing is that my students believe that certain instruments are "masculine" and some other "female". To question this stereotype, here you have a video of a natural drummer. And she is just a girl!!
After watching this video, my students asked me what was the difference between a prodigy and a virtuoso. I explained it to them and, now, I leave you another video and I ask you: do you think this girl is a virtuoso or a prodigy?. Why?.
Espero que os haya gustado. Como siempre, los comentarios son bienvenidos. :)
I hope you've liked it. As usual, comments are welcome. :)
